The weekend of Oct. 6 through the 8, Bayfield’s 56th Annual Apple Festival took place.
Apple Fest is a weekend filled with every single apple flavored food you could imagine: Apple bratwursts, apple cream cheese cake, apple wine, pies, and so much more. The festival also included a kids’ carnival, other food stands, live music, and a parade that took place on Sunday.
Vendors were also there selling things like homemade skin care, jewelry, hats and mittens, and other items at nearly 100 booths. 60 booths alone were selling apples from the local orchards.
The Bayfield Chamber of Commerce said that over 50,000 people from all over the Midwest attend Apple Festival.
Even if you were not able to make it to Apple Festival this year, you can still visit the small town on the water and go pick apples from the local orchards, but without the crowds!
Visiting Bayfield is a trip in and of itself. Driving through the fall colors, visiting the small towns in between, and also driving right past the Apostle Islands lakeshore entrance.
